Streaming Services and Monthly Subscription Box Memberships Show No Signs Of Slowing Down
As consumers, we have grown accustomed to having a monthly charge applied to our credit cards as an easy way to gain access to services. Gym memberships and our cell phone bills are some of the most accepted forms of subscriptions. But we now can pay a monthly subscription for a myriad of things. Two areas that have become billion dollars worth of spending are streaming entertainment services and subscription delivery programs that will send you food, gifts or themed boxes of items on a schedule.
The surge in adoption of subscription-based services appears to be growing, aided in part by pandemic protocols which saw many looking for ways to bide their time at home.
We engaged our omnibus survey respondents to better understand their usage of and satisfaction with various subscription and streaming services. Our infographic below highlights some of our findings.
